An Historical Walk Around Stone

A Walk arranged by the Stone Historical & Civic Society

This extremely popular event has initially been sold out.
However due to popular demand the Historical Society has managed to arrange a third group which will be departing from Westbridge Park Car Park at 7:15pm  Tickets will be on sale in Home and Colour from Tuesday  morning 24th May - Hurry up they wont be there for long

The walk will start at Westbridge Park car park and go to St Michael and St Wulfad's Church.  On route we shall visit the Priory to view the remains of the crypt in the cellar, the last part of the 12th century monastic building.  We shall tour the church and Jervis Mausoleum and, if the weather is fine, arrangements have been made to climb the tower (at walkers own risk) and observe the fine views that can be seen from there - so remember to bring your camera.   We shall also see the church bells.

The walk will continue up the High Street and return back to Westbridge Park via the canal, stopping at Daydream Canal Trips for coffee. Due to the likely popularity of the walk, one group will leave at 6:45pm and another will follow at 7:00pm.

All this for just a donation of £4 which includes a complimentary non-alcoholic drink. All funds go to the Festival's good causes.

Tickets are available to buy from Home & Colour in Stone High Street
